Steven Hedlund
Steven is our lead instructor and Co-Founder of Lake County Golf Academy, where he teaches at Bittersweet Golf Course, and X-Golf Libertyville. With eight years of instructional experience, he has previous experience at Club Champion, is a master club fitter and club builder, and is passionate about helping golfers develop their skills both on and off the course. His favorite quote is, “Golf is the closest game to the game we call life. You get bad breaks from good shots, you get good breaks from bad shots… but you have to play the ball where it lies.” — Bobby Jones.

Steven brings nine years of golf instruction experience across top facilities including Bittersweet GC, Bonnie Brook GC, Inverness GC, X-Golf Libertyville, and Keeney Park (CT). A four-year Club Champion Master Club Fitter, he is also a skilled club builder dedicated to optimizing equipment for every golfer.
