Personal Club Fitting
Custom golf club fitting to maximize distance, accuracy, and feel tailored for your game.
Service Description
At Lake County Golf Academy, a personal club fitting session is designed to connect your swing DNA with equipment that truly performs. This isn’t a quick spec check—it’s a data-driven, hands-on experience built around how you actually deliver the club, what ball flight you prefer, and how you score on the course. We start with a brief interview to understand your current set makeup, typical ball flight, miss patterns, and on-course goals. Whether you’re chasing more speed, tighter dispersion, better turf interaction, or dialing in wedge gapping, we align the session to what will move the needle for you. From there, we establish a baseline using your current clubs on a launch monitor, capturing key metrics like ball speed, launch, spin, carry distance, peak height, and dispersion. This gives us a clear “before” picture and often uncovers quick wins. Next, we move into head and shaft optimization across leading OEM options, including partnerships with TaylorMade, Titleist, and Tour Edge. You’ll test multiple head profiles (forgiveness vs. workability), lofts, and face technologies, paired with a curated range of shafts to match your tempo, transition, and release. We fine-tune length, lie angle, swing weight, and grip size to ensure consistent center-face contact and predictable start lines. For irons and wedges, we pay special attention to turf interaction and bounce/grind selection, ensuring clean contact from your typical playing conditions. Wedge gapping is a dedicated focus. We map precise carry distances and dial in loft and bounce combinations so you have confident, repeatable numbers from scoring ranges. Driver and fairway wood fitting centers on optimizing launch and spin for maximum carry with playable dispersion—balancing speed gains with control you can trust on the course. Putting is addressed with the same level of precision. We evaluate aim bias, face control, and stroke type to match you with the right head shape, alignment system, and length/lie configuration. Throughout the session, you’ll receive clear, side-by-side comparisons and simple explanations of what the data means—no guesswork. The goal is not just better numbers on a screen, but equipment that translates to lower scores and more confidence. At the end, you’ll walk away with a fully built spec recommendation, optional order support, and the ability to revisit or validate changes as your swing evolves.
