Break 100 Improvement Course 

Welcome to our 7-hour instructional series, designed specifically for golfers looking to break 100 for the first time. Throughout this course, we'll focus on essential strategies to enhance your performance, refine your swing mechanics for better accuracy, and develop effective course management tools.  By the end of this series, you'll have the tools confidence needed to elevate your game and achieve consistent rounds under 100. Let's get started on your journey to success on the golf course!

How it works:  We will contact you to schedule each lesson and talk you through the progression of each step in the course.

Break 100 Course Format:

  1. Swing Assessment and Pre-Fitting

  2. Driver Consistency Session

  3. Iron Contact Quality Improvement

  4. Wedge Distances & Strategy

  5. Chipping and Pitching

  6. Putting Fundamentals

  7. Scoring Simulation - Wrap Up

Breaking 100 Course Details:

Lesson #1 - Assessment

Goal: Identify the 2–3 biggest score leaks.

  • Interview: typical scorecard, blow-up holes, common misses

  • Baseline skills test:

    • Driver/tee clubs - dispersion

    • 7-iron: contact + start line

    • Wedge (50–100y): carry control

    • 10 putts: speed + face control

    • 10 chips: basic up/down potential

  • Choose pre-fit club specifications

  • Set “Break 100 Rules” (simple targets per category)

Take-home: 3 priority fixes + practice plan (20–30 min sessions)

Lesson #2 - Driving

Goal: Keep the ball in play off the tee.

  • Choose “Fairway Finder” club (driver vs 3W vs hybrid)

  • Setup fixes: ball position, alignment, tee height

  • Shot pattern shaping: “one-way miss” strategy

  • Fairway-finder swing cue + routine

  • Course strategy: when to hit what (par 4/5 rules)

Take-home: Tee routine + 2 drills for face/path control

Lesson #3 - Irons

Goal: Solid iron contact and GIR +1 Goal

  • Low-point control (brush/divot in front)

  • Strike center-face priority.  Eliminate Fat and Thin shots

  • Course Management - Target Selection

  • Trouble-shot rules: punch-outs and smart layups

  • Simple gapping check (what club goes ~150/170 etc.)

Take-home: “Advance the ball” decision tree + contact drills

Lesson #4 - Scoring Wedges

Goal: Stop wasting shots from scoring range.

  • Improve wedge striking quality

  • Build a 3-swing wedge system 

  • Carry-yardage calibration (not total)

  • Aim strategy: middle-of-green and “big side” targeting

Take-home: Personal wedge chart + wedge practice ladder

Lesson #5 - Chipping

Goal: One chip, one putt (or two) — no doubles from around the green.

  • Default chip technique (low runner) + one higher option

  • Club selection rules (PW/9i vs SW)

  • Landing spot + rollout concepts

  • Bunker basics (if needed): “get out every time” technique

Take-home: 10-minute short game practice circuit drills

Lesson #6 - Putting

Goal: Reduce 3-putts and make short putts predictable.

  • Stroke Assessment - Eliminate major mechanics issues

  • Speed control: lag putting calibration (15–40 feet) drills

  • Start line concept : face control drills (gate/chalk line)

  • 3–6 foot “must-make” routine

  • Green reading simplified

  • ​

Take-home: 2 putting games + a 15-minute warmup routine

Lesson 7 - Skills Challenge + Reports

Goal: Turn skills into a scoring plan that breaks 100.

  • “Break 100 Combine” test (tee, approach, wedge, chip, putt)

  • Comprehensive report with practice plan and on course approach

  • Ball Selection and Club Recommendations

  • Post Round Evaluation Strategy

  • Future Triage Plan

Take-home: “Break 100 Scorecard Plan” (targets per hole type) + Practice Plan
